The Scout.com Publisher rankings are out. In the first installment of the 2011 NFL season, the publishers from across the Scout network weighed in on where they believe teams should be ranked from 1 to 32. And to no surprise, the Super Bowl Champions are at the top.
The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl, won the hearts of blue collar fans across the country and won the respect of NFL analysts everywhere. In the rankings Green Bay’s Super Bowl victory, shrewd Draft moves and overall makeup put them on top.
Despite the ‘Winning is everything’ theme in the NFL, coming close still earns you the respect of the experts at Scout. Despite not being named Super Bowl champs, the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to squeak out a close second place finish in the power rankings, slightly ahead of the Vegas favorite New England Patriots.
With the Patriots securing third place, the New Orleans Saints (4th overall) and the Baltimore Ravens (5th overall) round out the Top 5.
Unfortunately for the Panthers, even the addition of Cam Newton couldn't pick the team up out of the basement. Three different teams each received first place votes while five different organizations earned last place votes.
Without further ado, here are the way the experts see things from 1 to 32:

Hi = lowest (worst) ranking vote received
Low = highest (best) ranking vote received
