During his sophomore season in 2004, Thomas started all 12 games for Florida and registered a career-high 4.5 sacks. He added a personal-best 47 tackles (30 solo) as a true freshman and was named to the Knoxville News-Sentinel’s All-Freshman Team.

A SuperPrep All-American as a senior at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas posted 30 sacks during his final high school season.
