Holland traded

Montrae Holland

Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan announced today that Denver has traded guard Montrae Holland to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round choice in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Holland started 16 games at right guard in 2007, his first season in Denver after four seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He was signed by Denver as an unrestricted free agent on March 5, 2007. He was originally a fourth-round selection in the 2003 NFL Draft.

Holland had reported to camp overweight, a major issue for Denver since they rely on leaner, quicker linemen to execute their zone-blocking scheme.
