2004: Brandon appeared in nine games, playing mostly on special teams where he made 11 tackles to rank third on the Broncos. In one of the best performances by a Bronco on special teams all year, Brandon totaled five special teams stops vs. Ind. (1/2). He returned to action at Tenn. (12/25), appearing on special teams only. Brandon was inactive at K.C. (12/19) and vs. Mia. (12/12). He contributed a tackle on special teams in consecutive games at S.D. (12/5) and vs. Oak. (11/28). At N.O. (11/21), he recorded two tackles on special teams. He made a tackle on special teams vs. Hou. (11/7) and was inserted on defense to defended a Hail Mary attempt at the end of the game. Brandon played entirely on special teams vs. Atl. (10/31). He made a tackle on special teams on Monday Night Football at Cin. (10/25). In addition to his special teams responsibilities, Brandon saw a few snaps defensively at Oak. (10/17). He was inactive for the first five games of the season.
2003: Brandon played in all 16 games, starting 10 at free safety, and posted 57 tackles (44 solo), an interception and six pass deflections. In the opener at Cin. (9/7), he made seven tackles (5 solo) and broke up one pass. He added another pass deflection in Wk. 2 at S.D., as well as five tackles (3 solo). In Wk. 3 vs. Oak. (9/22), Brandon made five tackles. In Wk. 5 at K.C. (10/5) he totaled seven tackles (5 solo) and a pass deflection. Brandon tallied a season-high eight tackles (5 solo) in Wk. 6 vs. Pit. (10/12) and the following week at Min. (10/19), he amassed six tackles (5 solo). He also added five solo tackles vs. N.E. (11/3). He played on special teams only vs. S.D. (11/16) and vs. Chi. (11/23) but recorded a special teams tackle in each contest. Brandon saw limited action on the defensive side of the ball at Oak. (11/30) but did register two special teams tackles. He recorded two solo tackles vs. K.C. (12/7) and a special teams stop vs. Cle. (12/14). At Ind. (12/21), Brandon replaced an injured Nick Ferguson (wrist) early in the 3rd quarter and registered a solo tackle and a special teams tackle. After returning to the starting lineup in the final game of the season, he recorded seven tackles (6 solo), a pass deflection and an interception. Brandon's interception came in the end zone when Brett Favre overthrew tight end Wesley Walls. He started at free safety in the Broncos' AFC Wild Card game at Ind. (1/4) and registered a team-high 10 solo tackles.
2002: Brandon played in all 16 games and made two starts (at K.C., 10/20 and at Sea. 11/17), posting 18 tackles (16 solo), a forced fumble, two passes defensed and a fumble recovery. He added 11 more tackles on special teams to rank fifth on the team and blocked a punt vs. S.D. (10/6) for a safety. Brandon saw significant action on defense in each of the last five games, closing with a solo tackle and a pass defensed in the season finale vs. Ariz. (12/29). At Oak. (12/22), he posted two solo tackles one week after posting three tackles and his first career pass defensed vs. K.C. (12/15). He made two special teams stops in the Chargers’ game (12/1). Brandon started at free safety in place of Izell Reese (groin) at Sea. (11/17) and recorded two tackles and forced a fumble that he also recovered. He saw action on defense vs. Oak.
